Submission process

Please review the Instructions for Authors and Editorial Policies before preparing your manuscript. Manuscripts may be declined without full review if they are inconsistent with these guidelines.

Checklist before submission:

  1. Cover letter that includes a brief description of the novelty and significance of the research, as well as its contributions to the field of interest (two to five sentences).
  2. The name, email address, institution of each author. Each author should have made real and concrete contributions to the research, be aware of the intent to submit the work for publication, and approve the manuscript’s content.
  3. Manuscript should include figure legends and tables. Illustration and figure files should be in the PNG, JPEG, or EPS format and embedded in the main manuscript. A single, final manuscript in Word (preferred) format of less than 32 MB can be submitted.
  4. Additional supplementary files can also be submitted in PDF, SWF, MOV, or MPG formats.
  5. Manuscripts must be written in clear, comprehensible English. Authors who are not native-English speakers may consider professional writing and editing services before submission.
  6. Ethics information, including Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) permit numbers and Institutional Review Board (IRB) name, if applicable.
  7. Statement of competing interests, with declaration of any affiliations or relationships that could be viewed as potentially competing.
  8. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources, if applicable.
  9. Publication is free now for the inaugural issues. Beginning at 2016, we assessed an Article Processing Charge of US$500, payable for articles when accepted for publication. This charge must be paid before publication. Cancer Research Frontiers will consider waiving publication charges if author(s) do not have research funds to cover publication costs. Request for waiver should be made in the cover letter.
  10. Publications open access policy. Once the manuscript has been accepted for publication, authors will be asked to license their contribution under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution License for Open Access. This license will also transfer the copyright to any author’s work that permits reuse, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the contribution is properly cited.
